Historical Savannah, GA

We took our friends, Jerry & Laura Smith, to Historical Savannah, GA.  We walked along the Savannah River and snapped a few pictures.

We were considering taking a trolley tour but tickets were $28 each, so we were trying to decide if it was worth it.  We started walking away when the lady selling tickets said she'd give them to us for $10 each.  Sign us up!  And off we went!

The tour was well worth the $10/ea (not sure it would've been worth the $28 ea though).  We didn't take many pictures on the trolley, but saw a lot of neat things and learned a lot about the city.  We saw the church where the feather was dropped in Forrest Gump.  You can see part of the church in one of the photo's below.  We also saw where the Forrest Gump bus stop/bench scenes were shot.  We got to see some of the areas where the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil was filmed too.

Both Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC are beautiful cities.  If you get a chance you should put them in your travel plans.
