Sorrell-Weed House in Savannah, GA

One of the historic mentions during our trolley tour of historical Savannah, GA was the Sorrell-Weed house.  This house is supposed to be one of the most haunted houses in the Country.  It was even featured on the season finale of the Sci-Fi Channel's "Ghost Hunters".

After the trolley tour, we decided to drive back to the house and take some pictures.  I was snapping away when our friend Laura peeked inside one of the windows and swore she saw a girl.  She couldn't believe it, but imagine her shock when the girl stood up and walked to the next room and opened the door!  Laura was running down the street she was so scared.  She didn't even run to the truck!  So, after the "TOUR GUIDE" opened the door to talk to us and after we stopped laughing at Laura...Jerry Smith (who had kept saying we were crazy for wanting to go inside) was the first to break out his $10 and say "let's go in".

So, off we went.  The house tour was pretty neat.  It has a lot of history.  General Lee was one of the famous people that stayed there.  Besides being featured on Ghost Hunters, the house was also on one of the History Channel programs.  Apparently the new owner found a box inside a false ceiling.  In that box was original Civil War surrender papers signed by General Lee.  The History Channel determined the papers to be authentic.  Our tour guide said there were 13 copies distributed and only 5 remain in existence (that we know about).

Below are some of the pictures of the house and the carriage house.  Of course, when you hear something is supposed to be haunted, your imagination runs wild trying to see things in pictures that may or may not really be there.  We had a good time looking at them and seeing different things in them.

Email us is you think you see something in them.  Let us know what you think you see and which picture it is!  extreme@howeexteme.com
